SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB PLANS
The phase 2 plans of the Sports & Social Club planning applications are to be submitted to the November planning meeting.  This means that plans will have to be lodged by 30th September to meet those deadlines.  The proposed plans have been in the library from the 21st September.  Posters around the village have also advertised the presentation of those plans at the Sports & Social Club between 10-12am on Saturday 28th September.
Comments and suggestions are welcomed by the Committee either via the library display, the presentation on 28th September or to any member of the Committee.
Should you require any information, please do not hesitate to contact Chris Rothwell, Mike Barlow or any other member of the Project Committee (Rebecca Watts, Tim Lunel, Paul White, Terry McKee, Di Spitzley, Colin Scarret, Duncan Collins, Steve Maule, Sheena Maule, Lillian Carpenter, Deborah Weaver, Derek Brotherstone).

HOOK NORTON JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB
Our village junior football club is certainly alive and well! As we start a new season of junior football we now have over 100 boys playing for our 8 teams in the age range of 5 to 16 years. Our minis section is run every Saturday and is lots of fun for boys and girls aged between 5 and 7. Our Under 8's, 9's, 10's and 11's play their home games at the Sports & Social Club, also on a Saturday and compete in the Witney & District Youth Football League. Our Under 13's and 15's play in the Witney League, on a Sunday, along with our Under 16's who compete in the Oxfordshire F.A. League.
So if you would like to watch a game of football there is always one going on at the Sports & Social on most Saturdays and Sundays from now through until March!
There is an acute shortage of referees at the moment so the Witney League are running official training courses for referees and could then offer you games at which to officiate. If you fancy giving it a try please give me a call and I will put you in touch with the organisers.
If you are new to the village, or even if you just want to start playing now, please give me a call and I will put you in touch with the appropriate team manager.
Finally don't forget we now also have our very own Hook Norton Junior Football Club website at http://www.hnjfc.co.uk where you can find all our fixtures and results and even some team photos! Come on Hooky!
